Two live i360 cameras, real-time weather, surf conditions and tide times, all in one place. The most complete Brighton seafront feed online.
The second camera sits atop the Brighton i360 tower looking north, across the rooftops of Brighton toward the South Downs. On a clear day the ridge of the Downs is clearly visible. This is a completely different perspective from Camera 1, which faces south toward the sea. Together they give you the full 360° story of the seafront. Both feeds are live 24 hours a day.

Two live cameras mounted on the Brighton i360 tower give you a complete picture of the seafront before you leave the house. The south camera shows the West Pier, beach and open Channel. The north camera looks back across the rooftops of Brighton toward the South Downs. Both feeds run 24 hours a day. For the Palace Pier view, we link out to SkylineWebcams.
Below the cameras you'll find live weather from Windy, real-time swell and wave conditions for the Channel, and today's tide times for Brighton Marina. Whether you're heading down for a swim, a surf check or just to sit and watch the sea, this page gives you a more complete picture than anything else out there.
The skeletal remains of the Grade I listed West Pier, built in 1866, closed in 1975, and now one of Brighton's most recognisable landmarks. A favourite subject for photographers at sunrise and sunset.
The world's tallest moving observation tower, standing 162 metres tall on Brighton seafront. On a clear day the viewing pod offers visibility of up to 26 miles, as far as the Isle of Wight and the Ashdown Forest.
On the clearest days, the French coast is visible from the Brighton seafront, just 46 miles away across the Channel. The stretch of water between Brighton and Dieppe is one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world.
Brighton's famous shingle beach stretches 5 miles from Hove in the west to Saltdean in the east. Unlike most UK beaches, there's no sand, the flint and chalk pebbles are what give Brighton its particular character.
When to watch
The seafront is at its most peaceful before 8am. The light on the West Pier in the early morning is extraordinary, pink and orange catching the ironwork on calm days. Occasionally you'll catch wild swimmers heading into the sea.
Peak Brighton. The beach fills up fast on sunny days, towels, windbreaks, the smell of fish and chips drifting up from the seafront. The volume of people is genuinely extraordinary for a city this size. Bank holidays are something else entirely.
Brighton sunsets are famous for a reason. The sky over the English Channel turns extraordinary shades of orange and red, with the i360 silhouetted against it. The seafront bars fill up and the whole city seems to face west.
Brighton in a winter storm is spectacular. Waves break over the promenade, the pier creaks and the sky turns dramatic shades of grey. Worth checking the webcam any time a southerly storm is forecast, the English Channel doesn't hold back.
