The brief

Email communications worthy of one of the world's great institutions.

The London School of Economics needed a suite of professional email templates that could handle the full breadth of their student communications — from prospectus enquiries to course confirmations — while maintaining the brand standards their reputation demands. The templates needed to work flawlessly across every email client and device.

Design began with LSE's established brand guidelines — their colour palette, typography hierarchy and institutional voice. Every template was built with a clear visual hierarchy: key information front and centre, calls-to-action positioned where they'd convert, and accessibility standards met throughout (readable fonts, adequate contrast, screen reader compatibility).

Development was mobile-first, using bulletproof coding techniques tested across Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail and all major clients. Dynamic content placeholders were built throughout, enabling personalisation at scale — student names, course titles, relevant links — without requiring custom builds for each send.

Templates were delivered with comprehensive implementation documentation, enabling LSE's internal team to deploy, customise and manage them with confidence.
