The brief

Brighton's longest-established post-production studio needed a website that matched their reputation.

The Edit has been at the heart of British television post-production since 2006. Their previous website had fallen behind the quality of their work — it wasn't telling the right story, and it wasn't making it easy for new clients to understand what they do and who they do it for. The brief was a complete redesign: cleaner, more editorial, easier to navigate.

The process started with competitive analysis and strategic thinking to understand where The Edit sits in the market and who their site needed to speak to. From there: UX wireframes, prototype design, and a full WordPress build with a custom portfolio system.

The portfolio system was built to be managed by The Edit's team without technical knowledge — easy assignment of teams, roles and clients to projects. Because a post-production studio's site lives or dies by how current the work is, and the team is too busy producing to deal with a complicated CMS.

Cross-device testing, free training for their team, and ongoing support to keep the site performing as their portfolio grows. Clean, editorial and built to convert — without sacrificing the aesthetic that makes The Edit what it is.
